Laboratory of Molecular Parasitology

Our research focuses on aspects of the cell biology of the protozoan parasite Trypanosoma brucei, the causative agent of African sleeping sickness. The main topic is the regulation of the microtubule cytoskeleton, in particular the role of posttranslational modifications of tubulin. We are part of the Department of Genetics within the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geosciences.
