Laboratory of Molecular Parasitology

Our research focuses on aspects of the cell biology of the protozoan parasite Trypanosoma brucei, the causative agent of African sleeping sickness. Specific topics of our research include mechanisms of cell division, nuclear biology and dynamics of the cytoskeleton. We are part of the Department of Genetics within the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geosciences.
